Don’t Look Back, Or Why I’m Throwing Away my ‘Fat Pants’

I, like millions of women around the world, could open a clothing store in my apartment. Unfortunately, it is not a sample sized clothing store like the closet of the wonderful Carrie Bradshaw, it is more of a journey from fat to skinny and back.

Jeans, shirts, bras — I own all of the above in several different sizes and have finally decided that this is the year of no return. This is going to be the year I pick a size, or two (even a premiere betch has fat days), and stay there for the rest of my life (you bet your ass I’ll be downward dog-ing my way to the delivery room!).

Why do we do this to ourselves?

Why do women insist on keeping ‘fat’ clothes? Is it because we secretly know that something in our life is going push us back over the edge, forcing our ‘fat’ pants to be our only pants?

In the eyes of many of you, I probably never was actually ‘fat,’ however I felt that I was. Everyone is different and it’s not to say that stick skinny is the way to be, but overweight is not a good way to be either. I want to be healthy and comfortable for the rest of my life and to me, the best way to do that is to stay thinner.

So, in keeping with my vision board (and the awesome butt in the corner, yes I have a vision of a nice butt), I’ve decided that I will not spend one more second being uncomfortable. It’s going to be hard, but it IS going to be worth it.

And I’m throwing out my fat pants, every last pair of them.

What will you do to make your visions a reality in 2012? This most certainly is the year of no excuses, so go for it, take the leap…fate is going to catch you, I know it will!

Why don’t you be the first? Come on, you know you want to!
